For our Summer series this year, we are continuing our journey through the gospel of Mark.  When we read scripture we have the benefit of the third person view.  The disciples however, were living this in real time.  Maybe that’s why they had a hard time really seeing, hearing and understanding what Jesus was doing.  Over the coming weeks we will undoubtedly see that Jesus is more than a great teacher, healer or miracle worker.  He is the Messiah, our living hope.

O Come All Ye Faithful

Advent

When we remember the birth of Jesus and the way that the people of God had been waiting for centuries for the birth of their Saviour, we come to a greater appreciation and realization that we are also living in a period and season of waiting. Not for Jesus to come for the first time, but for him to come again!

Scripture References: Philippians 4:1-3
