As disciples of Jesus, we are his ambassadors. He is making His plea through us. So, what would be the greatest outcome of our ambassadorship? That His Church would grow and be strong in both unity and diversity. This is a massive undertaking, a huge responsibility, but we have no need to worry or feel weighed down. God has given gifts to the Church and when we make every effort to function in these gifts with humility, gentleness and patients keeping the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace, we will see the Church being built through us. For the next five weeks we are going to dig into how we can function in the gifts that God has given each one of us, honour the difference in each and how we can be contributors to building His Church.

Moving Into The Neighbourhood

To kick off our series, we will be walking through a time when Jesus “left his light on” and moved into the neighbourhood.

Scripture References: John 2:1-11

From Series: "Leave The Light On"

If you're going to somebody's house for a get-together, isn't it nice when they leave their lights on? It helps you find their house because it stands out from the others. It's also welcoming to walk up to a house that's all lit up, compared to one that's dark! Well, this is what we're going to talk about for the next three weeks. We are going to learn what it looks like to be people who leave their lights on, and how that ties to our vision of awakening Greater Edmonton to King Jesus.

Who Is My Neighbour?

If someone were to ask you the question, "Who is your neighbour?", how would you answer it? What would you say? Who comes to mind? This week, we are going to unpack this question using a familiar passage in an unfamiliar way. I can't wait to open up the Scriptures with you!

Scripture References: Luke 10:25-37

From Series: "Leave The Light On"
