We don’t want to look at serving as an obligation or something we have to do, but as something we get to do together.
WE GET TO DO THIS!
Make a difference with your time by volunteering in a role that fits your God-given gifts, interests, and talents. We all have different skills, abilities, and passions. With hundreds of different volunteer opportunities, there is a role for everyone to serve at Beulah. Serving is one of the best ways to discover more of who God designed you to be. Not sure where to begin?
I find the community I’ve found with Beulah Creative transformed the way that I felt about worship. And transformed the way I felt about using the gifts and abilities that God has given me. I can’t even explain the joy!
I remember sitting at a service, one of my first times at an Alliance Church, and I was listening to songs I had never heard before and all of a sudden tears started streaming down my face. I didn’t understand it at the time. Something just hit me, and I knew I had to become involved some how, in some way.

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
1 Corinthians 12:12-18
We count on thousands of volunteers to help make our weekend worship experiences happen and serve people throughout the week…
we couldn’t do this without them! By serving, you can make a difference in the lives of others.

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Be one of the welcoming faces as people walk into our building by serving them coffee, handing them a bulletin, or answering their questions.
I enjoy serving because I get to use some of the gifts God has given to me and I enjoy getting to know the people I’m serving with. When I was a kid I still remember the men that served as ushers in the church I attended. They were a good example of Godly men – their fun attitudes are something I still remember to this day. I enjoyed seeing them weekly and always felt welcome to church as a kid because they took time to recognize me. I think it’s important to help in the church in some capacity. I believe God wants us involved. I also want to be a good example to my kids, showing them the importance of being involved in the church.
